We got a bit more insight into a few other supernaturals in this book. Romance Novel TV Praise for Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires Novels. It was a lot, and not in the “emotional roller coaster, hate love relationship with the author” kind of way. There was also a heavy dose of House and friendship drama that Merit once seemed equipped to handle, and she was very unsure of herself. While readers will ultimately get what they wanted, it’s hard earned. I get it, but she just seemed off her game even after she decided to get back to it.
